Marc Chagall

Marc Chagall (1887-1985) was a Russian-French artist known for his colorful and imaginative works. He was born to a Jewish family in Belarus and created famous stained glass pieces, including the Jerusalem Windows. Chagall was an early modern artist who often included floating figures and mystical themes in his art. He is one of the most celebrated artists of the 20th century. He created art in many forms, including painting, prints, book illustrations, stained glass, ceramics, and tapestries. Today, his works are found in private collections and museums worldwide.
