The divine comedy

The “Divine Comedy” is a poem by Dante Alighieri, written between 1265 and 1321, that depicts the journey through Inferno, Purgatory, and Paradise. Salvador Dali created 101 watercolor drawings as part of a project interpreting this masterpiece. These drawings were then reproduced using a wood engraving technique, in which engravers carved 3,500 woodblocks to produce the prints that make up the suite.
